Today we spent the majority of the period watching and discussing the 1955 film Rebel Without a Cause. This film is probably the closest "adaptation" of Catcher in the Rye out there, and it deals with many of the same themes that we've been talking about. Pay attention to the similarites between film and novel, and how the film approaches the subject of teenage rebellion...
